The Versatile Device
The versatile device consists of a reader and biosensor-chips. The reader is versatile and will be used in all our tests. The biosensor-chips are on the other hand target specific, as they include specifically developed aptamers to catch the desired target. Thus, by changing the aptamers in the biosensor-chips, we can provide the customer with new products. The most recent status on the platform can be found under News.
Our Technology in Brief
We use aptamers connected to electrodes to catch the desired target, and then measure the impedance difference between the specific electrodes against the reference electrodes. We simplify complexity. Our technology is ground breaking and will in the future offer a reliable alternative to PCR. The sweet spot of our versatile device is when time or locations is of the essence and high quality is a must.
What are Aptamers
Aptamers are oligonucleotides (used terms single-stranded nucleic acid sequences, single-stranded DNA or RNA or modified single-stranded DNA or RNA) or peptide molecules that bind to a specific target molecule, usually created by selecting them from a large random sequence pool, while natural aptamers also exist in riboswitches.
What can our Device Detect
Our device can detect viruses, bacteria, other microorganisms or biomarkers in any biological fluid. We only need to change the aptamers in the biochip, and thus will be able to quickly deliver the exact type of test you wish.
Aptamer Technology in Biosensors
is faster, more reliable and less expensive than using antibodies
Comparison with Other Types
shows many advantages of the Eir Diagnostic device. It is important to keep in mind that our solution is portable - a POCT - and that the through put is only one test per reader at a time. However, each test is done within 5 minutes and in high quality.
